George Albright
Hi everyone. I am helping 2 friends with their early projects. One needs a 1900-1910 planetary transmission to go on his hit and miss automobile engine. He also needs some Curved Dash Olds engine and trans parts and a real or repro CDO flywheel. Another friend needs an early chain drive rear axle for his project. They can pick up at Hershey if necessary.Leads appreciated! George Albright
Frank thanks for getting with Bob. He needs the flywheel. Can you send him photos of both sides of the flywheel, and the diameter, and either email to me or post here. Thanks for helping Bob. The chain drive axle might work for my other friend, but its a stretch. Best he can do is $1,000 for it,if he decides he wants it. thanks again! oldford
Let me chew on it a bit. If I stub my toe on it one more time, it just might be his....Here is the flywheel. Need two???Frank Edited July 1, 2013 by oldford (see edit history)
Bill Erskine
The pictured chain drive axle is actually the jack shaft for a 1910 or so 1 cyl REO truck. The plates out near the ends fasten directly to the frame. There are gears (one is there) that drive chains back to a double chain drive rear axle.
