motoringicons
Deposit Received/Sale Pending.1931 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan. This car was just removed from dry storage. It is an older restoration that was properly restored about 30 years ago. The body is super straight and solid with no evidence of damage or repair. The fenders are just as nice on the bottom as they are on the top. The door fit is excellent. The paint is older, black lacquer that has some overall crazing-especially on the bottom of the doors and on the rear fenders, but presents well and has a good overall gloss. The stainless and chrome are extremely nice. The top fit is excellent and all of the glass is good. The interior is extremely clean and hardly shows any signs of use. The chassis is dirty but it is obvious that it was restored during the restoration and would clean up again nicely. Mechanically, the car could use a tune up as it has been sitting. It starts easily, the engine spits and sputters a bit, but sounds good. The transmission shifts well, the brakes feel good, the clutch is smooth, and the steering is responsive with no excessive play. The car has been equipped like a Deluxe Tudor with mohair interior, an interior dome light and cowl lamps. In addition to these Deluxe Tudor features, the car has dual side mounts, a radiator stone guard and quail radiator cap, stainless steel spoke covers, a rear luggage rack, dual rear tail lamps, a spot light, etc. The ground tires appear very good and the spare tires are old, period originals and should be replaced. This car is extremely correct and complete including the correct horn, pop-ignition switch, shock absorbers with the correct links, engine pan, etc. Overall, this is a great Model A that with a little effort with be a great car to enjoy. Clear and current Michigan title. Reasonably priced at 10,000.00.
