cascadia
I need to order a set of steel wheels for a 57 Coupe DeVille. Summit racing has a 15x6 bare wheel with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern, but they couldn't say for sure on the phone if it would be the correct fit for the car. The backspacing is 3.625". Here's a photo of it...2nd question: Would these also fit a '49 Cadillac Series 62? Thanks in advance.
F&J
I'm not up on Cadillac, but I have read many times about people wanting to use those caddy wheelcovers on other makes of cars, and every time, someone warns that the Caddy wheel was a deep dish to be able to clear the backsides of the deep covers. In other words, the wheel might fit on the car, but the wheel covers most likely won't fit on the wheel. cascadia
This is the wheelcover I'll be using:
D Yaros
You are not able to find factory wheels from a junkyard, Desert Valley Auto Pars or the like I take it?
cascadia
It's been hard to find a complete set, plus 3 for spare tires. The attraction to the Summit wheels are that they're new, primed, and $69 each with free shipping.
D Yaros
I have to agree, the price when coupled with free shipping, is great. Why does anyone need 3 spare tire wheels? Ask Summit for a ref of someone in your area with the wheels. Then, maybe you can talk that individual into letting you try a hubcap and maybe even mounting the wheel on your car? cascadia
One spare is for the 57, the other 2 are for a couple of 49's that I bought out of the same collection. 3 really nice cars but no spare tires!
