pretty sure is a 26...Is there any difference between Mod 25 and 26 engines?

25 series wheel base is 115, deluxe model wheelbase is 120...body panel are different, but i think engine is same.

do you have an engine or head you can offer?

I just finished a rebuild on a 1940 pontiac 6 cylinder 4 door sedan....it had a 37 engine in it so as I thought i about a rebuild I bought a 40 engine now rebuilt and in the car running. I also bought a 39 engine same crank main bearings etc. The 39 engine i never used and the 37 engine that was in i needed to steal a few parts of to make the 40 complete. Bottom line they are both available. For your purposes it would be easiest to use the 37 head(looks the same) but everything else is available so long as I recoup my out lay.

The 39 also has the bell housing clutch and transmission. The 39 engine and trans came out of a coupe and the Transmission has a longer tail piece than that would fit my sedan.
