motoringicons
THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD 10/11/12. Thank you.1932 Lincoln KA 5 Passenger Victoria. This is on the 136" wheelbase chassis and has a body by Murray. While it is one of 250 believed to have been made, only 7 are accounted for between the Lincoln Owner's Club and the Classic Car Club of America's rosters combined. This car was owned by the same owner from about 1970 until recently. From 1970 until 1985 he did a frame off, restoration on the car and drove and showed the vehicle on a regular basis. During his near 40 year ownership, the former owner created an extensive file folder on this car keeping receipts, correspondence letters, historical notes, etc which will be included with the sale of the car.In the last couple of years, the car was both mechanically and cosmetically upgraded as needed including chrome, rebuilt carburetor and fuel system, new wiring, tires, paint upgrades, etc. Today, the car appears extremely nice inside and out and is very well detailed. The car starts easily, idles well and the engine is extremely quiet at all speeds. The clutch and transmission are smooth, the steering is tight and responsive and the brakes work well and stop the car straight and square. The paint is extremely nice showing only minimal wear in the expected areas. The door fit and hood fit is excellent with even margins and gaps. The chrome is excellent. The dashboard is complete with all of its proper gauges. The interior is the proper and matching blue cloth and is extremely nice including the door panels, headliner, etc.Overall, this is an extremely well presented and ready to use Lincoln. The price is xx,000.00. The car has a current and clear title and is located near Jefferson, Wisconsin. Please call 734-730-4274 or email: motoringicons@hotmail.com to schedule a viewing and text drive or for more photos and information. Thank you. rusty12
Now that is a great and rare car! A well known car that was in the Lincoln Owner's Club for many years. Nice to see it become for sale again.
John_S_in_Penna
Good to hear you sold it.This car was for sale by the owner (a hobbyist, a member of the Hornets' Nest Region A.A.C.A.),in 2009-2010. It was advertised in Hemmings for about $37,000. A beautiful body style, thoughan amateur restoration. A dealer bought it and immediately was trying to resell it for close to $100,000!Mr. Icons, it's good to see that you did some work on it, and the asking price became more reasonablein the $50's. Classic Lincolns, I understand, are every bit as good as Cadillacs but don't seem to bringthe big money.Hope the new buyer enjoys the car.
motoringicons
Thank you. The car is on its way overseas to a buyer who appreciates Lincolns and was looking for this body style.
