Guest shfree
Does anybody know what original equipment floor mats for a 65 GS looked like? The ones in mine are black with white tri-shields. They look pretty generic, and they don't look like they're pushing 50.
RivNut
Buick made generic floor mats for its big cars - LeSabre, Wildcat, Riviera, and Electra. There was nothing model specific. What you have is what was available.

I don't know about '65 T-Birds, but a friend's father had a '64, and about the only place on it you could find "Ford" was on the glass; same with another friend's 57 T-Bird. Everything said "Thunderbird," not Ford.

I took a look; it wouldn't surprise me if that isn't where my mats came from. They certainly don't look 50 years old.
Patrick91914
The only other option was the carpet inserts, a rectangular, hard plastic mat with chrome accents and spike-like appendages which allow them to secure to the carpets. They're a little hard to find, but very cool compared to the ubiquitious black tri-shield mats.
