Can anyone advise me on the complexities of a 1941 Cadilac 63 series four door hard top? Like does it have any quirks? Are there any maintenance issues? Parts issues? Will it be a big head ache or a nice dependable cuiser? I haven't bought it yet but it's all original and runs good. I don't want to get in over my head since I'm new to this . Thanks a lot.

It's all original and runs good (that being relative I'm sure), has 80,000 miles, hydramatic transmission automatic. You're sounding encouraging so far so I'm going to go for it unless someone tells me something bad soon. Thanks a lot.

GM's of the 40's are very reliable cars when they are in good condition. I had a 47 Olds straight 8 with Hydramatic and it was one of the best vehicles I have ever owned, solid, reliable and well built. The only thing that I didn't like was its tendency to wallow on its four coils. But the streets here are like roller coasters so it may not be torally the car's fault.
