NZBuick
Interesting looking car. A shame to get to that stage and not finish. Does anyone know it?
Guest Grant Magrath
Price seems a bit steep in this market, but it's had a bit of work done.I'm always wary of unfinished projects. CheersGrant
Guest stephen48
The world is full of dismantled cars and unfinished projects.............!
danhar1960
I can second that, and third it !!! :)Danny
Guest Grant Magrath
True! After my 39 Chev, I vowed never to take on another unfinished project. And what did I do? Buy an incomplete Stingray. Doh.CheersGrant
Terry Stock
Re engine size: "Engine has been rebuilt, complete with new pistons and bored out to 265ci."Who needs a project car when you can enjoy another excellent example? See the blue one with the plate STR8TE.
danhar1960
What is the "WOF" ????Danny
Terry Stock
WOF = Warrant of Fitness.New cars have an annual safety check for first 5 years; 6 monthly after that.
Guest Grant Magrath
I see they're looking at whether to make it 12 months, but a bit tougher.CheersGrant
Guest stephen48
Yes 6 monthly is ridiculous. It should be based on distance travelled ! And the authorities idea of making it tougher does not make sense as things already have to be completely up to standard so there is no scope to raise the standard. A component is either safe or not safe !
danhar1960
We (NSW) don't have to have a new car inspected for the first 4 years then once a year.Danny
Guest Grant Magrath
And you'll be pleased to hear that we've changed our give way rules to match yours now!CheersGrant
danhar1960
Are you referring to the old "Give way to your right" rule ??Danny
Guest Grant Magrath
Yep! The T intersection rule, and people turning left into a street now don't have to give way to right turners. So far, so good..........Cheers Grant
39BuickEight
So for me, that would read backwards correct? People turning right don't have to give way to left turners? Still doesn't make sense in my brain???
Guest Grant Magrath
Don't worry Billy. Going by all the idiots I see on the road on my way to and from work each day, there are plenty of Kiwis who don't get it as well!CheersGrant
