Guest Mark Rodgers
I am trying to find back up lights and the neutral starting switch on an automatic trans. 56 T-bird diagram. The switch and fuse locations would help. Anyone ?Thanks,Mark

Guest Mark Rodgers
No back up lights. I'm trying to get some ducks in a row before starting. I see a switch on the trans linkage with 4 wires on it. There is no voltage to any of the wires no matter of the key or shifter position but it does start in neutral.
tom_in_nh
I can't remember if the '57 is the same as the '56, but on the '57 little bird - the reverse lights only operate when the headlight circuit is operating.Silly design, I know.Tom
Guest Mark Rodgers
Thanks, that info we did have. I can order prints online but all the books I've looked at skip over some T-bird info and I'm thinking the online ones might too.
Guest Jim_Edwards
The Old Car Manual project has the '57 T-Bird wiring diagram online but no the '56 maybe that will help.http://www.tocmp.com/tOCMP/wiring/5765wiring%20diagrams/Ford/MWire5765-195.jpgYou might also try your local library's reference section to see if they have a copy of Mitchell's automotive wiring diagrams that goes back that far. Guest Mark Rodgers
I was told I probably won't find it on a print (it was an option maybe) but I did get an answer from a Tbird guy . Thanks for the help.
