michaelod
I am in need of a pair of 1930 Buick rear axle grease caps for wire wheels. These are threaded caps with the threads on the inside surface of the cap. The inside diameter of the cap is about 3 3/8" and it is approximately 2 1/4" in depth. I am attaching a photo of one that I have which I believe is from a 1929 although it is a bit to large in diameter, but this will give a good representation of the part I am looking for. autodeco57
I looked on two 32 front ends I have and they're smaller and threaded on the outside. Sorry.
michaelod
Pacrat,Unfortunately the grease caps on the front axle of a 1930 (and perhaps other years) are different than those on the rear and thus cannot be swapped from front to back. As Steve noted the fronts are threaded on the outside and smaller while the rears are threaded on the inside. Thanks for the offer though.
Mark Shaw
Michael, I looked in all the right places, but could not find the cap. That doesn't mean it isn't here; I sold one over a year ago, and I know I had another. I just couldn't find it... If I come across it sometime while working in my shop, I will let you know.
