Guest rivi425
I found it easiest to unbolt the compressor from it's mounts then lift it out of the way making sure not to kink the lines.
Jim Cannon
it is not necessary to remove the compressor. research old threads. this has been discussed.
ArtDan
I had attempted to do a search and have found 3-word searches come up with no matches.Next time I will search all "spark plug" threads instead of "spark plug removal"Different strokes for different forums

ArtDan
ThanksAfter discovering that thread yesterday, we ended up disconnecting the A/C compressor and using a short extension combined with a universal joint. It was what worked for us.Now the engine is firing on all 8 cylinders: what a difference!Next thing is to see what can be done with a noisy valve lifter. Lapham3
I've done this many times on various nailhead A/C cars and never had to move the compressor. I keep a spark plug socket built with an integral u-joint-maybe that's the ticket. Possibly you have a shorter belt driving your compressor that is the cause-Dan Mpls. Mn.
