MontanaKeller
What are differences in Rochester 4GC between Buick and Olds for the 61-63 215c.i.? Will a Buick 4GC fit an Olds and vice versa?
Guest Straight eight
Don't know, but betcha it has to do with Buicks gas pedal starter.
d2_willys
Don't know, but betcha it has to do with Buicks gas pedal starter. The small cars using 215 engine did not have the pedal start. I believe that was abandoned after the 1960 models.
Reatta Man
If you can put both together, the difference will likely be the base plates. If you can swap them and get the Buick-unique linkage on the other carb, it should work. For what it is worth, I changed out the Rochester 4GC with a Carter and got a lot more performance!
