Guest rsd9699
Are you questioning the tail lights? They were available as parts and some chevies were sold new that were modified by the dealer. Were called chevrolacs i think. So I would guess an Oldslac could exist. Can you post pictures?Ron
dbmarkc
I am looking at a car that is for sale. The owner says that there was a fire in the plant and some of the cars were produced with the cadillac rear fenders and bumper. The car sort of looks like it could have been, or somebody quite some time ago changed the fenders. I wish I had some pics
Guest myold88
California custom no doubt.
rocketraider
I'd lean more toward custom work too. The only thing I'm aware of changed due to fire was some 1953 cars got Buick DynaFlow transmissions when the HydraMatic plant burned. If the custom work is done to standard, enjoy it as a piece of car culture history. Guest myold88
As a follow up, many '50's car magazines had advertisements of companies selling a Cadillac style cap that could be grafted onto the '49-'52 Chev, Olds and Pontiac 1/4 panels.I have an October 1955 Motor Trend that has a J.C. Whitney ad and photo Of the "Caddy Fender Fins for $25.95 for that Caddy look" - lol.
