Guest jprrbo
The cruise control in my '68 Riviera is all there. The green relay light comes on, but nothing happens. Any suggestions? This is the last item on my car that is not functioning properly, and I would really like to sort it out.
RivNut
The factory chassis manuals usually have an excellent diagnostic for this. There are so many variables in these systems that without a step by step diagnosis, there's really no way of telling what might be wrong with what you described. You might just have power to the dash light and nothing eles. Find a manual or a friend who has one and go through it step by step.Ed
rivgs
Check the vacumn lines, ports/connections and also the switch at the brake pedal. Make sure you have good leak free connections and a vacumn source.
68RIVGS
As Kevin stated check the entire system for possible vacumm leaks. The vacumm distribution block on the lower firewall is the source for cruise control. Make sure all the connections to the transducer are clean.
