Guest Lt Morty
Hi.I'have had some questions about the type of Buick i'm looking for... So l'll try to be more clear.1942: any type and engine size, but must be four door. I prefer a Super, Century (or Roadmaster) before a Special. Sedanette prefered before ordinary sedan. 2x carb before 1 carb etc.1941: Only interested in four door sedanette with big engine. Not interested in 1940 or older.I hope this helps.Morten

Guest Lt Morty
Hi, and thanks for the link! That looks like a great car, but I'm looking for a four door car. It' makes it easier to get the kid in and out of the car when going on trips. I've sold one of my old cars to make room for a car that is more wife and kid friendly...I really appreciate tips & links from You guys, so please keep on sending them - but four doors only :-)Also, cars in less nice conditions as the one in the link above is interesteing. Thanks Morten

Guest Rob McDonald
LT. MORTY, describing the car of you dreams as a Sedanette is actually inaccurate. Sedanettes were all 2-door fastbacks (and generally gorgeous). I believe what you're looking for is a Fastback Sedan, in Buick terminology. They are also beautiful (1941 examples shown here) and came only in the Special and Century series, models 41 and 61, respectively. A model 41SE (Special Edition) was also offered with the higher performance engine of the Century and an upgraded interior from the Super line.I hope this helps by narrowing your search to find just the right car.
