Guest terryky
I have a '39 Special, Coupe street rod. It needs several things, so its one job at a time. I am rather new to this having only had the car a few months. First, i need to install missing things (bracket?) that hold the engine hood up, on each side. From the paint marks it seems it attaches to cowling nearest the windshield. Anyone know the p/n? where to purchase? cost?I also want to replace the ones holding the truck up. They are both there, but the lock or gearing mech inside them is missing, so have to shove a bolt thru the hole in the sides of it, to hold trunk up.Any help would be greatl appreciated.Thank You! Guest Grant Magrath
The trunk stay's issue could just be a broken spring. They're easily replaced and are a standard GM spring. Try www.chevsofth40s.com for them.CheersGrant

Guest terryky
Thanks, I will look into that. There is no spring so guess its fallen out? Just the arms on each side, that would be great if i could repair those and save some $.
