1937hd45
How many different wheels were made for 1932 Studebaker models? I have one that I was told came from a 1932, it has an S in the center of the cap. Will post a photo tomorrow. This is an 18" wire wheel. Thank you! Guest stude8
I can't verify how many styles and sizes of wheels Studebakers used in 1932, many! There were President (Big8); Commander (Small8); Dictator (6cyl) and model 54 (smaller chassis) models. Then the choice of wire spoke wheels, Chrome Artillery stamped steel rims and not sure if wood spoke wheels were still available in 1932.Attahed are photos of several sizes and styles.Stude8

nzcarnerd
There are three different tyre sizes quoted for 1932 Studes; 6.50x18 for the President, 6.00x18 for the Commander and 5.50x18 for the smaller models. At a guess they are 4 1/2, 5 and 5 1/2 inches wide but may be smaller than that. 1932 was the only year for 18s on Studes. I think 1931 was the last year for wood spoke wheels - they were 19s.
