Guest BJM
I would like to bid on this NOS front fender listed as for 1949 Chrysler but I own a New Yorker and since it is an 8 cylinder car, is my front fender longer then Windsor? Please check that part number if someone can and tell me if it is for a New Yorker or Windsor so I don't go after something I can't use. Thanks NOS 1949 Chrysler Left Front Fender Number 1335185NOS 1949 Chrysler Left Front Fender Number 1335185 | eBay
Rusty_OToole
The front fender is considerably longer on a New Yorker, at least 6 inches longer. The New Yorker has a wheelbase of 131" Vs 125 for the Windsor. All the extra length is in front of the windshield. The longer hood is to house the longer straight eight engine.I suggest you ask the seller to measure the length of the fender then measure your old one. Although the difference should be plain from a photo, it is that marked.
c49er
1335185 is chrysler 6 cylinder. The same seller has a 1241312 8 cylinder NY fender too. It is a RT Front.Bob
Guest BJM
Thanks. I think my fenders are OK but it never hurts to grab a spare, since my 49 New Yorker Club Coupe will hopefully never leave me.
Guest BJM
The seller won't ship and will only hold it for a week
