Guest Double M
So first, I will introduce myself, I'm Angelo, aka Marbles - thats my stage name and has become my nickname/internet handle.I have ownwed 27 cars, not all at the same time, and my current car is a 1990 Buick Reatta. I post mostly in the Reatta Forum. Of those 27 cars, 4 were Buicks, but a lot more of them were Mopars, but never a Plymouth. But now a 1965 Plymouth Fury II has come my way. I have not bought it, I dont even know how much yet. I figured that I would show to some Plymouth guys and get your take on it and maybe what you think it might be worth paying for, roughly. It has a 318 in it.I thank you all for your time and hopefully I may be back in a Mopar. A really big Mopar!
keiser31
Except for the Dodge Coronet wheel covers and the broken exterior passenger side mirror, it looks to be a very solid car. The 318s are practically bullet proof and very dependable. Parts are a breeze to find. Looks like it may need a windshield weatherstrip since it looks like there is moisture inside the windshield. Guest Double M
I would love to get those fender skirts. The owner, my mechanic, says he wont sell it to anyone else but me, but he still has not said a price yet. Seeing as it is a 4 door, I am hoping that price will be low. It has 24,000 miles on the clock, which is probably 129,000.
Rusty_OToole
It should be easy to tell how many miles it has. If it is over 100,000 the drivers seat will be worn, pedal pads worn out, steering feel loose, drivers door hinges loose etc. Also under the hood you will see many OEM parts have been replaced. If it is under 30,000 miles it will be almost like a new car. It is possible but not likely, I recently bought a 1966 Dodge Coronet sedan at an auction for $400, it only has 34,000 miles as attested by its condition and the way it runs, also by papers found with the car (old repair bills etc) and confirmed by the original owner's grandson.O ya look in the trunk, if it is really low miles the trunk mat should be intact and the original spare tire in place.Value $2000 to $3500 depending on condition and mileage.
