1935Packard
I was looking closely at my '35 Packard's doors today to try to diagnose a slight rattle, and I noticed what looked like a coin near at the bottom of the door, lodged in the ventilation hole. The coin looked like it had been there a long time: My car had been repainted silver in 1978, and I could see that the part of the coin that was exposed to the bottom had some silver overspray on it. Anyway, I pulled out the coin, and it was a 1919 penny. It was probably down there for a good 70 years. (Unfortunately, that wasn't the cause of the rattle!)
