Guest SpecialOz56
Hello all - I am having trouble installing lap sash setbelts to the front seat of the Buick 56 Riviera Sedan. I cannot find a place to get the belts to go through the centre middle (In line with floor tunnel) of the front bench seat. The seat has been reuphosltered using the original frame. Has anyone had success here ,and is there a trick? RegardsSpecial OZ
old-tank
Remove the seat back from the lower cushion.
Guest NikeAjax
Hey, OT, has anyone come up with "bracket" for lack of a better word for a shoulder harness? One of these days, hopefully sooner than later, I need to figure out how get get something in, and yep, I want a head rest too. I was lucky when the "idiot-child" on his cel-phone rear-ended me: I was sore, but I don't want to kiss the steering wheel, or just as bad brake my neck as my head snaps backward.Jaybird
JohnD1956
I used the longer belts for the front seat on my 56, and just looped then up over the bottom of the front seat and then under the seat back Probably the best way would be to have slots sewn into the seat bottom for the belts to go through rather than over and under like mine do, but these seem to work good.
