Dandy Dave
I did my system, which I bough from TIP many years ago, the way they suggested with black iron pipe and ball valves. I used a piece of hydraulic hose between the compresser and iron pipe so it would minimize any viberation from the compressor. I have never been sorry and the equipment has served me very well for over 20 years. Also, the blasting media that you use has to be dry. Dandy Dave! Guest djones1001
You mentioned a 6 CFM compressor that is not going to deliver enough air potentially depending on what you go with. Most of the time fine crushed glass is a good balance between cleaning the surface of rust but not profiling to much. After you get done sandblasting make sure to clean the surface and the sooner the better to get it painted becasue the air will start to rerust the surface
