35cz8
Does anybody know what size the spark plugs are for the 1930 Dodge DC8? Are there any newer plugs that will work ok in it and what brand and number would work? Thanks Bob E-Mail otd86866@aol.com
Paul Bohlig
Click on the spark plug link on the DBC front page. Lists all the plugs and sizes. Take your old one or the list to NAPA. You may have to buy a box of 8 if special orderedPaul
Guest imported_woodwheels
Bob; From a Champion plug cataloge 1920-1940 published in 1964. 1930-1931 Dodge 8 cyl is the same plug as the Dodge 29-31 6 cyl, old type # C-7 new type # D-16. 1931 was the last 18 mm plug used by Dodge. This plug in the 6 or 8 was set at .022 with a poing gap of .020. The D-16 converts to AC-86 and or C86 & TC-86 and Auto Lite BT-8. All of these plugs have a reach of either 9/16 or 1/2 inch and all interchange freely in the chart published by AC printed in March of 1962. 35cz8
Thanks guys, I have the plugs. Checker auto had them in stock in autolite brand. No problem once I had an older number to convert. Thanks again. Bob
