yellowdog
Guys,While discussing the my 16v swap project, a suggestion was made to install a manual shift kit in the a413 tranny, making it a manual (without the clutch). I was told you can shift gears without even taking your foot off the gas.I have no experience with this. In fact, I hadn't even heard of this kind of mod before. It sounds interesting but when I searched other forums I saw a mixed bag of opinions.Has anyone in this forum tried this? Has anyone heard anything about how these manu-matics work? How rough/smooth is the shifting? TIAYellowdog
89TC-16V
its installing a reverse manual valve body, if you are of the older generation it can also be called a slap-stick automatic.
yellowdog
But how is the drive? The examples people talk about in other fora seem to work well if you are into racing or burnouts but I was wondering if anyone has (or know someone who has) tried this on a car rigged for regular street driving. TwinCamFan
One of the best Mopar auto trans builders in the country is the guy you're buying the motor from:cool:. if I wanted to ask someone to build a trans, it would be Brian.
