  1. Check it out. Ebay #: 113834091972 Located in Chester, NY I'd go for it but I already have too many projects...
  2. #206696 A 16v currently for sale on eBay. Item #173980980453.
  3. Grazie. Hopefully I can get one shipped and installed pronto. Not as much fun to drive my car when it feels like an oven...
  4. Can someone tell me the part number for the belt that drives the a/c compressor? Mine broke and local outlets don't have the right ones. I checked Rock Auto and they claim they have the correct replacements but I want a part number to confirm. This is for the 16v engine. TIA
  5. Photographic proof that #202012 is still among the living.
  6. That is so cool! Congrats on the podium visit. So how often do you plan on competing? I'd like to come out at some point and cheer you guys on.
  7. Just dropped in after a long absence. So the count of 16v runners is still less than 40? I know they were rare to begin with AND it has been 30 years since the TC first hit the dealerships but I still didn't expect a 99% kill rate! To celebrate my baby's 30th birthday, I got her an oil change, tune up and a full detailing. I even had the a/c rebuilt!
  8. All, I can't find my service manual so need some help from the forum. How many engine mounts are there, what are the part numbers, and where is a good place to find them? I think my antenna motor has given up the ghost. Where can I find a replacement? Thanks in advance!!!! Yellowdog
  9. Jimcon, Definitely interested in your DOHC with 36k on the odometer. Problem is when I click on the icon to get you phone number, I get an error message. Reply here or PM me. Cheers, Yellowdog
  10. Is that center console (?) with manual shifter boot still for sale?
  11. I have an 8v car that I had a 16v engine transplanted into. My current car is VIN 202012. The donor car's VIN ended in 204351. Whether it is actually running at the moment is unknown. I have been in Afghanistan since last summer and won't lay eyes on my baby again until September 1--give or take a few days.
  12. Is this it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/R12-COMPATIBLE-A-C-REFRIGERANT-MAXI-FRIG-12a-1994-OLDER-RECHARGE-REFILL-KIT/122508929925?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D777003%26algo%3DDISCL.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3D0c6c0b2119b845fabc1a673197ffd708%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D8%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D311907370171
  13. Where are you located? I'm in Fairfax County, near Tysons.
  14. So close and yet so far. I would love to be there if no other reason than to finally meet Larry and Hemi in person. Unfortunately, I'm scheduled to be in Europe then. Maybe next time!
  15. So does anyone have a decent guesstimate as to how many TCs are still on the road today? I read somewhere a long time ago that only about half of the cars were still on the road as of 2000 (or was it 2010--I can't remember). Watching the steady stream of obits on this forum of cars that have been wrecked, parted out by their owners, or turned up in a junkyard, I am guessing we are losing 2-3 per month. I'm sure the real rate of losses is probably significantly higher. So how many runners have been accounted for on this forum (I tried counting but ran out of fingers and toes)? Even if you doubled that number to account for TCs owned by people who have no idea this forum exists, would that even cross the 500 mark?
  16. From the day I bought mine, I viewed the TC as pretty much orphaned. Certainly Maserati has flatly stated they do not support the TC. In terms of Chrysler--are they still making parts any more for any models as old as the TC? I thought we were already relying on NOS, aftermarket producers, and dead TCs to keep our cars going.
  17. OK. Here is a second question on this subject. I just watched a video on YouTube entitled "Chrysler's TC by Maserati dealer confidential information tape 1" (below) In Part 4 of the tape (at 43:25) it discusses adjusting the convertible top. At 52:37, the tape brings up "control links" in the convertible top near the back that can be adjusted forward or backward. Does this affect the tension of the exterior fabric?
  18. Whatever happened to the big Mopar shindig in Hershey? Was there one this year? Did anyone from this forum go?
  19. I know that tune. Months ago, mine failed inspection because the muffler had a hole in it. I parked it in the garage last December meaning to get it fixed "any day now." Then one personal issue after another kept popping up so that my baby didn't see the sun again until this week. When you get to Auto Tech, talk to Ralph (white hair and beard). He has always taken good care of me and my cars. Also highly rated on Angie's List.
  20. If you see a yellow TC with a black saggy rag top driving around NoVa, that's me!
  21. I know this reply is pretty late to the game but if anyone is looking for a place in DC where the mechanics can tell the difference between a TC and a LeBaron and aren't intimidated about working on a rare car, try Auto Tech on Spring Hill Road in Tysons Corner, VA. They have treated my TC pretty nicely and are very honest. If there is something they cannot do (like weld an exhaust system) they will say so.
