keiser31
I have three questions...does this car have a removable hardtop? Does this car still exist? Where is it now?
Guest Silverghost
It sure does look like a removable hard top portion ! The inset glass/plastic roof panels are very odd and unusual ! Do you think ths is some sort of aftermarket hardtop like the tops built by Parrish Plastics for the solid axel corvette roadsters ? You should pose this question on the ACD club forum ! Next we will be seeing a similar top on a Tucker ~~~It would go well with the Tucker Convertible ! trp3141592
Hi,I checked to see if this Cord happened to be in my garage. Sorry, nope. But I'll make room for it... --Tom
K8096
The front bumper is 1941 Cadillac. So the photo has to be taken in 1941 or later.
Guest Josh_Malks
This car was originally owned by actress Barbara Stanwyck. It was originally equipped with a "Continental " spare tire, similar to Al Jolson's Cord. The late Lee Richardson, who owned this Cord in the late 1940s, created the removable top. He told me long ago that he used a Dodge rear window and that the roof panels were war surplus plexiglas.
