Centurion
This photo depicts the first location of the Hudson and Buick dealership in my hometown in Oregon. My grandfather purchased his first new car here -- a 1916 Buick touring. Subsequently, he purchased a new 1922 Essex here.I need to establish an approximate date of this photo, based on the Buicks and Hudsons parked out front. I assume that both marques are represented. The photo will be utilized in a magazine article, and historical accuracy is important. Can anyone identify which are Buicks, which are Hudsons, and which model year these cars represent?Thank you in advance! Centurion
Here's a second, smaller image -- presumably shot at about the same time.
Jon37
I'd hazard a guess that it's during the 1914-15 period, based upon the following 1914 ad. The front fenders are so high that the car seems low-slung.
