Guest FredDwyer
I do love old cars, but I'm not as involved as I imagine most of you are. I've been digitizing a bunch of my grandfather's negatives, and this picture features a car which I thought might be a Crane Simplex, but as I look at images of Crane Simplex automobiles, they seem to all have a distinct radiator shape with a "widow's peak" at the top. This car does not sport that feature. The picture was taken in 1918, in Worcester, MA. On the full size image I cannot quite read the name escutheon, but it appears to be engraved on a diagonal stripe from lower left to upper right. Can anyone help me out by identifying this car? That is if I manage to upload the picture with this post. Edited November 3, 2010 by FredDwyer Add Picture (see edit history)

Guest FredDwyer
Thanks for the answer. While you were answering I was figuring out how to add a close up image of the radiator escutcheon.
