mribbich@wi.rr.com
I have a set of chrome brackets that I need IDing, I am guessing they are a right and left side also my guess is that they are for a car. Thanks!!!! 1-262-392-2989 or mribbich@wi.rr.com Marv.
Paul Dobbin
They may be some luggage rack parts. In the days before built in trunks there where lots of aftermarket luggage carrying units sold that bolted onto the bumper brackets and could fold flat to carry a trunk. When no tin use the folded vertical for storage. Some were chrome plated. That's my guess from the picture provided.
Guest 1hooligan
Could be the lower tail gate brackets for a station wagon. Many in the 50's and 60's were chrome. the one on the right appears to fit over the latching portion? No numbers? Pat

drwatson
I think they support the rear window or tailgate on a 1950's station wagon.
drwatson
The attached picture shows a similar mechanism supporting the window above the tailgate of a 52 Ford Station Wagon. Not exactly yours but getting close.
