i bought two of these, a few years back, but mine are gold plated and the background is painted red. i even found a neat key pouch, made of leather, has a snap cover flap, and has the chief head emblem on the front. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.

Not trying to offend but this appears to be a "mall" key. The triangle on the top is a clue that this variety of key were sold at mall kiosk's. Usually gold toned and many popular car make's available. They sold for $5 new (cut), which was quite a sum in the 1970's for one key.
