Buick Downunder
Hi AllCan anyone advise on the following for delco starter/generator please?1. Starter wiring - Does anyone have a wiring diagram or can describe what wires go where on the back of the starter - Mine has a wire from the ignition swich or ammeter???, one from the coil and the main battery lead (positive) - which is obviously to bolt under the large nut. I think I have them wrong. Any help here and where they go would be a great help...2. Has anyone adjusted the upper stater brush? mine seems to sit on the starter at all times when the pedal is not engaged - maybe just above by a few mm's. Is this correct???3. Also, does anyone know what makes the starter 'oscillate' when you have the ignition on? Mine does not seem to do this anymore and I am worried that it should??? to ensure the field is not fried? Do other people have staters that don't make the sound whe the ignition is on all of the time???Thanks - Ben
