Guest 39DodgeD11
hey guys, im just wondering what the difference is between the D11 Fastback and the D11 Trunkback. I have what i believe is a Fastback, however im not sure of the difference between the 2. Heres a picture of my car, possibly you will know whether ours is a Trunkback or a Fastback. Please tell me if we do indeed have a fastback or is its a trunkback
Bob Scafani
fastback and trunkback are terms that were not used by Dodge. The model was called a four door sedan.
Rusty_OToole
Built in trunks were first offered as an option, or a deluxe model in 1934. On some cars they were added onto the regular body, on others there were 2 different bodies.By 1939 practically all cars came with built in trunks at no extra charge. All Dodges had trunks that year. With the possible exception of the station wagon. There was a Dodge Luxury Liner sedan that year but that was a different thing.
