39 Zephyr fan question????

Here is something I noticed... is it normal to grab onto my fan and have it "spin" in its housing? I was working on the old boy and I races the engine and heard a noise from the front of the engine.... I shut it down and found that with a little effort my fan would spin within its housing.... is this normal? It acts as a clutch type fan??

NO..SCRAPOLA I THREW MINE AWAY LAST YEAR. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ROLL ENGINE

WITH BLADE..NO SLIPPAGE, IT IS CLAMPED IN A PERMANENT MOUNT, CUSHONED IN RUBBER.

This is not a clutch fan, the balancer is for weight, harmonics..counter balance sort of thing..

MY RERUBBERED FANS HAVE DONE OVER 10000 MLS. AND NO FAILURES. IM. IN NEW ZEALAND, I BUY LOTS OF PARTS OUT OF THE US. SHIPPING IS NO PROBLEM. THERES BOUND TO BE SOMEONE IN THE US. i can get u one, but not for a couple weeks....I cant imagine rerubbering one...they are not that scarce here in the USA...How do u re-rubber one???????
