Guest sintid58
I am painting my 70 Riviera and have a passenger side remote control mirror that came with my 70 Skylark along with a bunch of other parts. As long as we are doing the body work already I would like to put this mirror on the Riviera but need to know the proper position to mount the control inside the car. A picture would probably be best if someone has one. Any help would be appreciated.
CTX-SLPR
It was an option in '70 so unlike the previous thread about putting it on a 1st Gen, there is a "correct" location. Best advise is to just mirror the drivers side mount for the interior stuff and use a mirror of the outside mount as a starting point which should be pretty close seeing as you don't have a vent window pillar to get in the way as I do with mine. Guest 75RivGS
Is the mirror gasket from a Skylark the same as for a Riviera? Thought they used different gaskets (angle)
Guest sintid58
Thank you but I was looking for where to mount the control inside the car on the dash.
rivgs
A passenger side remote mirror was not available until 1974, so placement of the control is something you will need to figure out as there is no factory location.
