George Albright Posted February 19, 2010 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Dear Friends The planetary transmission with the square at the bottom of the output shaft has been IDed by a friend as an early Buick planetary transmission. I own both of these. Is it a Buick trans,and if so what year? Can anyone ID the other trans? No names or ID marks on either. Inside condition unknown. Trans # one: 16 inches wide overall with the shaft. Bolts onto flywheel. Drum is 11 inches in diameter and drum is 5 1/4 inches wide. Trans #2 19 inches overall with shaft. Bolts onto flywheel. Drum is 10 1/2 inches in diameter. Drum is 4 1/2 inches wide. Weight of either is 60-75 lbs.Both are for sale for $1,500 each.
