Guest rcarcrazy
I inherited my Dad's 1928 Standard Six. I am trying to locate the vin so I can get a replacement title. There is not a plate anywhere that I can see. Can someone help me locate the vin for this vehicle? Thanks,Troy
keiser31
Should be on a plate on the passenger side front door pillar. Should look something like this...
Guest 1930
Atually I believe it to be a much larger plate that would have been originally attached to your wooden floorboard passenger side toward the top, you can buy reproductions thru Myers and I am sure Romars and stamp them yourself if you can find the serial # that is stamped into the frame. ( which is located passenger side near the front rear portion of spring perch if its the same as 29 DA) I think what Johns picture is showing is 31 and up and if he can confirm that it would be nice as I am curious to know what 31 used. keiser31
Yes it is from my '31. Did the '28 still have it on the floorboard?
dwollam
But more importantly, are they not on the frame as well, like the 4 cyl cars? I know my 29 DA is. Right front frame rail, just above the rear spring hanger on the front spring.
