KQQLCAT
Has anyone put the dual exhaust drivers side manifold from a 64 Starfire on an Olds with the automatic column selector? I am looking at how the manifold exits and it looks like it might be close to the selector on the steering column. I would like to talk to someone before I dig into this.ThanksPat
Oldsfan
No, I haven't. But my question for you is why don't you just use the stock '61 manifold that you have?Paul
KQQLCAT
It won't work with 2 1/4" exhaust. I put the other manifold on and all is good now.Pat
Steve Westlake
Hi Pat Did the LH dual exhaust manifold work on the car with column shifter?I am thinking of putting it on my 63 olds 98 conv that has a column shifter,I know it works on floor shifter cars as my custom sport coupe it is a standard option. Thanks Steve
KQQLCAT
Yes it fits perfectly. You have to jack the engine up quite a bit to get it in but it fit quite well.Pat
Guest Kiwiolds
Could you show me a picture of the exhaust as I have been trying to work out how to put twin exhaust on my 62 Dynamic 88 with colum change.
KQQLCAT
First you have to find a 64 Starfire exhaust manifold for the drivers side. Not an easy task.
Oldsfan
It is not necessary to put a '64 Starfire manifold on to run duals on a '62. The factory used the same manifolds for single and dual exhaust in '61 and '62. It is all in the pipe routing (and a cap on the passenger side).Paul
