Guest DBAcadia
I have a question for the panel: What were the original running board patterns available '24-'27 ? With 5 cars only 2 have matching boards. Most are wood board with ribbed rubber mat and countertop-like trim. Oddly, one '24 DB touring has all metal boards I have not seen elsewhere. Is this original?
dwollam
All 24-27 DB's have metal running boards covered with gray battleship linoleum and trimmed in zinc mouldings, like aluminum. The metal boarrds started in late 22 with the second series bodies.

Guest imouttahere
Dave, I acknowledge your expertise in these matters, but the transition from wood to metal running boards must have occurred sometime AFTER the second series in late '22 began production because I have one of these cars, which I am sure was factory original when I bought it, and it has wooden running boards. Guest John1918
I copied a page from my Dodge parts list and have attached it. It shows the change to steel boards. John

dwollam
According to the above posting the metal boards started on Jan 1 1923. I stand corrected! Thanks John.
