DavidFW
In the early 80's I worked for a Dutch firm in Kinston, North Carolina. The GM was, (I believe...) at one time the president of the Studabaker Club. A fine engineer and gifted mechinic, he once restored a battery powered Studabaker for a doctor in the UK. He also (at age 16) supervised the re-build of a Baldwin 0-8-0 steam engine, which is still running at the Spencer Shop in Spencer, N.C.His name is Dave C. and I doubt there were or are many people who had his knowledge of the Studabaker automobile.Dave was a heck of a guy and there's only been two other men I've worked for or with in my life who I respected as much.I'm thinking someone on this site must have run into the man at some point and I'd like to get in touch with him if anyone knows here knows where he might be.DavidFW
MCHinson
David, if you have his last name, either post it here or send me a private message. I might be able to lcoate him for you, especially if he is still in NC.
Studemax
You sure he wasn't the President of his local Studebaker Drivers Club Chapter?
DavidFW
Possibly. Or he was at one time. Trying to find a person after 26 years is a daunting task and the internet is a good news/bad news kinda thing. Lots of leads and lots of dead ends.DFW
