gofasttoday
I have a 1957 buick vin 4D5004940 how do I tell what it is Special or roadmaster?
JohnD1956
The model number should be on the plate attached to the top of the firewall. 40 series = special, 60 Series = Century, 50 series = super, and 70 Series = Roadmaster. this number may be a combination of 2 numbers + a letter but the 2 numbers tell the model line. That letter would refer to certain models within the line. Let us know what you have, we should be able to id it.
