I just picked up my first Reatta. 88 Red/Saddle. I'm excited! The car is in pretty good shape overall. I prefer to do my own mechanical work so the Reatta will be a challenge with all the electronic doodads. I do have a few issues that I am curious about.<BR>1) Shop manual. How much and were can i get one.<BR>2) How can I tell if it has RKE?<BR>3) It always tell me the drivers door is ajar(it is not) the door switch seems to function properly(turns lights on and off) Any thoughts?<BR>4) I saw the "light show" once. I do not know how I triggered it and have not seen it since. What is it's function and how do you trigger it?<BR>5) Whenever I start it the tape deck makes a clicking noise for a few seconds. Any thoughts?<BR>I'm sure I'll have more questions as I become more familiar with it. At this point I am going to give it a good scrubbing and drive it while smiling.

WELCOME!!!! You will find most all the info here.Manual check ebay under Reatta.I don't know what an RKE is. The light show should start when you open the drivers door & close it within a few seconds. Your tape deck may need new belts,so do a search here on how to do it. ENJOY THE RIDE

1) <A HREF="http://www.helminc.com" TARGET=_blank>www.helminc.com</A> <BR>2) the Reatta was not equipped with keyless entry in '88<BR>3) Type in "door ajar" in the search box on this forum.. seems there is a seperate switch for the warning and another for the interior lights.<BR>4) the "Light Show" is supposed to be triggered when you first enter the car and the driver's door is shut. I would guess when you fix the "drivers door ajar" problem it should return.<BR>5) You'll probably need to replace the belts on your tape deck. go to <A HREF="http://www.reatta.net" TARGET=_blank>www.reatta.net</A> and look for the instructions in the FAQ section or you can send it out for repair.<P>Welcome to the "club" and good luck!<p>[ 08-14-2002: Message edited by: RawjaNYC ]
