Guest Paul_N
The fuel pump on my '37 Century is ejecting gasoline from what looks like a vent, rectangular shaped, in the top portion of the pump. Does anyone know what's going on? Is there an internal fix or do I need to replace the pump entirely? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Mark Shaw
You probably have a hole in the diaphragm and just need to replace it with one that is compatible with ethanol....
Guest Paul_N
Thanks Mark, is there a parts house that would carry it? New to this so scant knowledge of resources.
Dandy Dave
I agree with Mark. The diaphragm has a hole, crack in it and will need to be replaced.Try this place, It can't be to far from us. fuel pump stuffThese things are no big deal to rebuild yourself. Just make sure that you get the check valves back in so fuel will flow in the right direction. Dave!
