Oldsfan
Everything you are looking for can be found here:http://home.comcast.net/~oldsfan/MySite/62oldspage.htmlBut I'll go over it here anyway.Vin# 621M42439 is a 1962 (62) F-85 Deluxe (1) built in Lansing, MI (M) and was was the 41,439th (42439) to come off the assembly line. The first one would have been 621M01001.STYLE 62-3167 BODY LA 7057 This means it is a 1962 (62) F-85 Deluxe Cutlass convertible (3167). The body was built at the Lansing Fisher Body plant (LA) and was the 7,057th Cutlass convertible body built at the Lansing Fisher Body plant. TRIM 994 PAINT M 994 is the trim code for Fawn interior trim with bucket seats. M is the paint code for Cameo Cream (yellow)ACC This is where accessory codes would appear for factory accessories that would have affected the build of the body. Apparently you don't have any. Examples would be power windows or air conditioning.number on the right head S 184182G The S prefix and G suffix show this to be a 185hp, 4bbl Cutlass engine with 10.25:1 compression. It is the 84,182nd Cutlass engine built. The first one would have been S100001G.Paul

rocketraider
Best I can do is the bodystyle. None of my color and trim books go back as far as 1935 but I think Oldsfan's do, if he sees this. 35- 1935 3- Oldsmobile 8- L series 8 cylinder 57- 2-door 3 passenger Sport Coupe 959 produced. 921 is the Fisher Body sequence number. Looks like a late production car.
rvdcolf
Thank you - already helps a lot. Would have been nice if there was a database of sorts
rocketraider
www.antiqueolds.org Then look for "Resources" tab on the site menu, then "model year advisors". You'll find 1935 MYA contact info, though looks like he hasn't provided an email, only a phone number. Don't know of anyone maintaining a 30s Olds database but the NAOC should have some information.
