If it is still 6 volts, Accel used to make a 6 volt electronic ignition to fit in your distributor but they have been out of production for years.Pertronix may be able to help, they sell a lot of ignition conversions.Somewhere on the net I have seen plans for a 6 volt electronic ignition. In this system you use your points to trigger the module which fires the coil. The points last almost forever because they carry so little current.You might try a web search, that's how I found it. Sorry did not bookmark the page.There's nothing wrong with your stock ignition. Just clean and gap the points every 10,000 miles or so.
