nospark
I would appreciate any comments and discussion back on the subject of the oldest commercial vehicle that was not a prototype or a "one of".My father has a 1903 light delivery curved dash olds model 'D'. These were made on the Olds assembly line in '03 and '04 and then switched up to bigger and harder models. If you need further information you can contact me atrandybmclean@rogers.com
CarlLaFong
Riker built large electric trucks around 1898 or so. Big 3 to 5 ton jobs. They were regular production vehicles, so they beat Olds by 4 or 5 years

CarlLaFong
I think there is one at the Henry Ford Museum. I have a picture of one in a book
1937hd45
The Columbia Electric truck was in service in 1899. There is a link here on the Forum to a Thomas Edison movie that shows one of these running in a car event in NYC in 1899. They built a fleet of Taxis and Busses as well.
