Stabilizer Link

Does anyone have practical experience replacing the Stabilizer Links on a 1990 Reatta? If so, is the job back alley mechanic doable?

For the record I do not need them right this moment... a mechanic mentioned that it may become necessary soon.

Thank you, John

The most important thing to examine is to ensure that whatever link you buy, the bolt securing the link has the indentation for the star socket in it. Long before the link is tightened down, the bolt will want to turn and it is necessary to have a box wrench [even better, a ratcheting box wrench] for the nut, and a star socket to hold the bolt. Otherwise it is not a difficult job. When you have the link off, you might want to check the sway bar bushing as well. The sway bar may have worn the hole in the bushing.
