Generator cut out switch

The generator cut out switch/voltage regulator on my 1934 Buick is stuck "on" so that the gen is always charging. Does anyone know what year switch would fit or where to get another one?

You might try buying a modern made cut out relay and transplanting the guts into your case. I tried on my 1928, which has only a cut out relay, to put in an anode after I found that they wanted $85.00 for a cut out relay. I did not have a chance to really see how it works before I started the engine rebuild.

Maybe someone else could elaborate more on that subject.

I used a diode under the cover of the old cut out switch on my 1930 model 61.Works well.

I tried that on my 1928 and it did not seem to work. Can you tell me what part number you used and anything else about the installation.
