novaman
I have a manufacturer and an apparent part number for it, but have not been able to identify the year or the potential cars this mirror was made to fit on. Auto-Lite 2701 is stamped on the bottom side of the mount. Any idea what it may fit?
rocketraider
Dave, best I can tell you is it's a universal fit aftermarket and was made before 1967. That's when the NHTSA safety standards took effect and outlawed knockoff spinner wheel covers and about anything like this that could be construed as a pedestrian safety hazard.Man, can you imagine the bugs that mirror skewered... looks like something you'd find on Ming the Merciless's space cruiser. Would be right at home on about any mid-50s car.
Guest Skyking
Looks as though it belongs on Batman's car..........pretty neat!
