Pete Phillips
I think your price is a bit unrealistic for a small series 4-door sedan that doesn't run.
Guest imported_Thriller
Now price guides aren't the be all and end all, but the Feb. edition of the Old Cars Price Guide puts your price in the ball park for a #2 car, which, aside from trailer queens, is just about the nicest car you are going to see. #4 is $4600 and #5 is $2800. Guest ewing
what a shame, but on the other hand, that is one way of pillaging for trim on other restorations.I never could understand why a Buick would be street rodded. Too big and heavy when chevies and Fords were' made to chop up'. IMHO.Once you pour a load of money in to a street rod, do you ever really come out ahead? They are so personal it would be even tougher to find a buyer at the 'right price'
Guest rlbleeker
The problem with rods is they are sorta like new cars because they typically use new car drivetrains. It's cool today to drop it on '07 Vette running gear, but in 10 years it isn't cool anymore. So the value drops (or doesn't increase as rapidly) unless you keep updating it. Or you have to wait 50 years till it's a vintage rod for the value to come back up.
