pphil
i have a 1964 425 KX block out of a 64 riv (7K serial#)it has been rebuilt about 3 years ago and has 5-6000 miles on the rebuild.engine was bored .30 over crank was turned .10 under both carb were just rebuilt(havent even tuned them yet)now the bad part the motor has a spun bearing(sp)has a high pitch squeal so instead of fixing it i am parting it out.(i dont have the time or money to keep throwing in this car)you can have the whole engine or just the parts off it for $2500.00that includes the factory breather and a custom one,the only thing missing is the kick down bracket(i was running a 4-speed so i didnt need one)scottprecottphillips@bellsouth.net

Guest BJM
It's frustrating but just take a break or do some work yourself. If you really love the hobby invest in a garage (space to work) and chip away at it. There are some things I can't do, upholstery for instance but do as much as i can - and you can. As for prices, I think potential buyers on ebay are being careful because of shipment pricing. ebay should be about bargains as well. Too many people are believing it's a gold mine. Most of what is on ebay on Reserve does not sell. But ebay still gets the listing fees.Shipping a dash pad can cost $50 to $60. USPS, UPS, whatever, prices are considered part of the purchase, so sellers must get less for the buyer to feel he has a good price. Don't be discouraged. The Wildcat can be restored. Think about guys restoring cars from the 1920's. They sometimes have to fabricate their own parts.
